General Motors is transitioning its BrightDrop electric commercial vans under the Chevrolet brand, a move that expands the reach of BrightDrop EVs through Chevrolet’s extensive commercial vehicle sales and service network.
These electric vans, offering a GM-estimated range of 272 miles, are equipped with advanced safety features to keep drivers alert and secure.
Integrating BrightDrop into Chevrolet’s EV portfolio allows customers to benefit from one of the industry’s most comprehensive commercial sales and service networks, opening new growth opportunities for the brand.

Chevrolet dealerships that meet specific commercial EV requirements will be able to sell and service BrightDrop vans, ensuring optimized uptime for fleet operators.
Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet, emphasized that this integration combines advanced EV technology with Chevrolet’s renowned dependability and accessibility, reinforcing the brand’s leadership in the commercial vehicle market.
BrightDrop, which debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2021 and became part of GM Envolve in 2023, will continue to offer cutting-edge technology aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing emissions.
The BrightDrop 400 and 600 models will still be produced at the CAMI Assembly plant in Ingersoll, Ontario. GM Canada President Kristian Aquilina praised this branding shift as a testament to both BrightDrop’s potential in the electric fleet market and CAMI’s role as Canada’s first large-scale EV manufacturer.
