At the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, BMW M GmbH presented the all-new BMW M5 as the prize for the 2024 MotoGP™ M Award. This high-performance vehicle will be awarded to the fastest qualifier in MotoGP™ at the season’s end.
The seventh-generation BMW M5, now equipped with an electrified drive system, was unveiled during the Motorcycle Grand Prix of Austria by BMW and MotoGP™ officials. With 727 hp and advanced hybrid technology, this groundbreaking M5 combines BMW’s legendary performance with cutting-edge innovation, continuing a tradition of rewarding top MotoGP™ qualifiers with a premier BMW M vehicle.

The new BMW M5 will officially launch globally in November 2024, making its early debut at Monterey Car Week in California. Additionally, the BMW M5 Touring, another electrified model that recently premiered at Pebble Beach, is also on display at the Spielberg event. The MotoGP™ M Award has been a prestigious recognition since 2003, with riders like Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia among past winners.
This unveiling marks the continuation of BMW M’s long-standing partnership with MotoGP™, celebrating performance, passion, and innovation on and off the track.
