BMW and the German National Biathlon Team are entering their third season of collaboration, with BMW providing a fleet of fully electric BMW i4 vehicles, alongside models from the BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, X3, and X4 series.
As the team’s mobility partner, BMW enhances both performance and sustainability by supplying athletes, coaches, and sports management with cutting-edge transportation and technological support.

In addition to the vehicle partnership, BMW aids the biathletes by using its wind tunnel and computer simulations to optimize their sports equipment and competition posture. This technical expertise is aimed at improving aerodynamic performance during races.
Christian Ach, Head of BMW Germany, expressed the company’s excitement for the upcoming season: “We wish the biathlon team sheer driving pleasure and a successful season.”
Athletes received their new vehicles at the BMW M Driving Experience in Maisach, where they participated in a BMW driver safety training session, learning advanced driving maneuvers in the electric BMW i4 and i5 models.
The 2024 season of the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon kicks off in Kontiolahti, Finland, on November 30, 2024. The highlight of the season will be the BMW IBU World Championships, held in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, from February 12-23, 2025.
BMW has been a key partner of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) since 2010 and the title sponsor of the World Cup and World Championships since 2014.
