The plant also produces the X3 and X4, with plans to begin manufacturing the X5 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) soon. The flexible production approach allows the facility to handle a variety of drivetrain options, including petrol, hybrid, and flex-fuel models, all on the same production line.

The site’s integration into BMW’s global network emphasizes local market expansion through tailored production solutions. Since 2014, the company has invested BRL 1.8 billion in the Brazilian plant and will invest an additional BRL 1.1 billion between 2025 and 2028.
