With just a day to go before the BMW Open by Bitpanda (April 12–20, 2025) begins at MTTC Iphitos, the tournament has unveiled two major highlights: the all-electric BMW iX M70 as the Winner’s Car and the launch of FUTURE ACES, a new youth empowerment program initiated by the BMW Group.
On the new Center Court, which seats over 6,000 spectators, BMW Germany’s Christian Ach and Tournament Director Patrik Kühnen revealed the BMW iX M70—a performance-boosted, efficient electric flagship made in Dingolfing. Ach called it the “perfect Winner’s Car” for the tournament’s first edition as an ATP 500 event.

Starting this year, FUTURE ACES will provide underprivileged children and youth in Munich with access to tennis and mentorship.
Every ace hit during the tournament will fund a coaching session at MTTC Iphitos, offering participants a supportive environment, role models, and exposure to new opportunities, including internships and info sessions.

Ach emphasized BMW’s commitment to equal opportunities and community impact through sport, expressing pride in the initiative’s potential to improve young lives through collaboration with partners including MTTC Iphitos and MMP.
This year’s tournament features top players such as Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and defending champion Jan-Lennard Struff. Four final spots will be decided in Saturday’s qualifiers.

Full tournament action begins Monday, with the finals on Easter Sunday. Matches will stream free via Joyn and ran.de, while ProSieben Maxx, Sky, and Eurosport provide live TV coverage.
