BMW North America marks its 50th anniversary at the Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 15, honoring its rich motorsport history.
The milestone is celebrated with a special livery on the BMW M Hybrid V8, featuring key achievements from 1975 to today embedded within the track silhouette of Sebring.
BMW’s North American journey began in 1975, with the newly established division securing its first major sports car victory at Sebring with the BMW 3.0 CSL.

Half a century later, the endurance classic remains central to BMW M Motorsport’s success. The anniversary tribute extends throughout the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC) season.

Jochen Neerpasch, BMW Motorsport GmbH’s first managing director, and 1975 Sebring winner Brian Redman will be present for the celebration.

BMW M Team RLL, fresh from a strong showing at Daytona, fields two BMW M Hybrid V8s in the GTP class, while Paul Miller Racing and Turner Motorsport aim for success in GTD-PRO and GTD with the BMW M4 GT3 EVO.
The 12-hour race starts at 10:10 AM local time and can be watched live at www.imsa.tv.
