BMW Group Classic is set to certify more than 20 Swiss BMW, BMW Motorrad, and MINI retailers as official partners by 2025, expanding its presence in Switzerland and ensuring expertise in maintaining and restoring historic vehicles.
The certification process requires retailers to demonstrate expertise in historic BMW, BMW Motorrad, and Mini vehicles and possess the necessary specialist tools to maintain vintage and recent classic models. Proper employee training is a prerequisite, with relevant training measures provided to meet customer requirements.
This expansion means that customers can now access services traditionally offered in Munich locally. These services include maintenance, repair, restoration, and care of historic vehicles.

BMW Group Classic headquarters in Munich will support local partners with technical assistance, procurement of replacement parts, remanufacturing of specialist tools, and provision of specific data from the BMW Group Archive.
The certification initiative, which began in 2019, has resulted in 148 international partners. This move aligns with BMW Group Classic’s strategy to celebrate and preserve the brand’s history while shaping its future.
To mark the certification of the new partners, a celebratory event featuring iconic vehicles from BMW’s history and the latest models will be held at the BMW Group Brand Experience Center in Dielsdorf on August 10, 2024. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet BMW Group Classic representatives and local partners, exploring the full range of services on offer.
