BMW has revealed a series of exciting updates for autumn 2024, expanding its lineup with new model variants and enhanced features. Starting in November, two additional variants of the BMW 1 Series will be available, along with expanded drive options for the BMW i5 Touring and BMW 5 Series Touring.
These updates also include new customization options across several models, including the BMW X2 and 2 Series Active Tourer, offering customers more flexibility to personalize their vehicles.

Among the highlights, BMW will introduce a new entry-level BMW 116, featuring a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, and the BMW 123 xDrive, which boasts a four-cylinder engine with 48V mild hybrid technology.
The top-tier BMW M135 xDrive will also gain an M Technology Package, offering improved chassis dynamics and lighter components for enhanced track and everyday performance.
The BMW i5 Touring lineup will see the introduction of the fully electric i5 xDrive40 Touring, with an impressive range of up to 520 km (323 miles) and a 0-100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds. In addition, a plug-in hybrid 550e xDrive Touring and a petrol-powered 520i Touring will also join the range, expanding BMW’s electrified options.
BMW’s autumn updates extend beyond new models, with significant improvements to charging capabilities for its plug-in hybrid models, boosting AC charging rates by almost 50%. The 5 Series and X5 plug-in hybrids will now fully charge in as little as three hours, making emission-free driving more accessible.
Furthermore, BMW will enhance in-car entertainment and convenience with features like video streaming, in-car gaming, and Remote Software Upgrades. These updates will also introduce digital payment options for fuel and optimize the selection of charging stations.
These updates reflect BMW’s commitment to driving innovation and sustainability while offering customers more personalization and advanced technology across its range.
