Bentley Motors today unveils a one-of-a-kind Koa veneer surfboard, crafted in collaboration with Marnie Rays and Otter Surfboards, celebrating craftsmanship, sustainability, and the spirit of adventure.
The bespoke surfboard, handcrafted from Bentley’s exclusive Koa veneer — typically reserved for the interiors of its luxury grand tourers — was selected during a visit to Bentley’s Crewe HQ by Lindsey Holland, founder of Marnie Rays, and James Otter, founder of Otter Surfboards.

Paying homage to Hawaii’s traditional surfboard-making methods, the sustainably sourced Koa veneer underscores Bentley’s century-long commitment to ethical craftsmanship.

Prepared by Bentley’s artisans using techniques last employed on the Mulsanne, the veneer was shaped by hand at Otter Surfboards’ workshop in Cornwall.
The final surfboard, bearing etched logos of Bentley, Marnie Rays, and Otter Surfboards, stands as a unique fusion of precision and artistry.

The story of its creation is captured in a short film, journeying from Bentley’s Crewe HQ to Cornwall’s coast, narrated by Lindsey through an original poem. The film also features the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, blending luxury adventure with natural beauty.

The surfboard makes its debut today at Marnie Rays’ VIP surf retreat, offering guests the chance to surf this one-of-a-kind piece.
Following the event, it will be donated to Surfability UK, a charity providing adaptive surfing experiences for individuals with disabilities. The surfboard will be auctioned to support Surfability’s mission of making the ocean accessible to all.

“This project beautifully celebrates craftsmanship and adventure,” said Greg Drury, Digital Communications Manager at Bentley Motors.

Lindsey Holland added, “It’s about blending the art of adventure with the beauty of craftsmanship,” while James Otter described the collaboration as “a celebration of creativity and sustainability.”
