Bentley collector Mark King has taken delivery of a highly exclusive Bentayga Apex Edition by Mulliner, customized to match his Le Mans Collection Continental GT.
Finished in Verdant green with a Moonbeam racing stripe, the SUV mirrors the livery of King’s limited-run GT, part of a special series commemorating Bentley’s 2003 Le Mans victory—the brand’s sixth overall and first in 73 years.
This particular configuration was offered only to owners of the Le Mans Collection GT or Convertible, making King’s pair a rare and meticulously coordinated duo.

Based in Northern Ireland, King is a long-time Bentley enthusiast, with a garage that includes a Bentayga Speed, Continental GT3-R, and Flying Spur.

He’s driven his current Bentayga over 100,000 miles, often using it to tow vehicles from his collection. When the Apex Edition was announced in 2024, King was quick to secure one, drawn by the opportunity to extend his Le Mans theme across a new performance SUV.

Built on the Bentayga S platform, the Apex Edition features a 550 PS 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, delivering 0–60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph.
The performance is further elevated by Mulliner 22” carbon wheels—cutting 44 kg in unsprung mass—carbon-ceramic brakes, Bentley Dynamic Ride, and rear-wheel steering. A sport exhaust system ensures the driving experience is as visceral as it is refined.

Inside, the Apex Edition shares key design elements with King’s Le Mans GT: Beluga hide, Dinamica seat fabric, Hotspur contrast stitching, and luxury performance accents throughout. This bespoke interior pairs with its exterior homage to Bentley’s 2003 Le Mans-winning Speed 8, featuring matching racing stripes and subtle motorsport cues.

The Le Mans Collection Continental GT, introduced in 2023, marked 20 years since that historic win. It included a blacked-out matrix grille with the iconic #7 in Arctica white, red brake calipers behind 22” black wheels, and a unique carbon fiber dash with six laurel wreaths representing each Bentley Le Mans triumph.

A standout feature is the rotating display, which reveals a vitrine housing a real engine valve from the victorious 2003 Speed 8.
Together, King’s GT and Apex Edition Bentayga represent a celebration of Bentley’s racing legacy, performance innovation, and coachbuilt craftsmanship—an ultra-exclusive pairing fit for a collector who lives and breathes the brand.
