Powerful Yet Efficient Plug-In Hybrid Drivetrain

At the heart of both models is a 2.0-liter TFSI engine paired with a 105 kW electric motor, seamlessly integrated into a seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission.

The top-tier 270 kW version boasts 500 Nm of torque, reaching 0–100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, while the 220 kW version delivers 450 Nm and accelerates in 6.0 seconds. Both are electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The improved hybrid management system intelligently toggles between EV and hybrid modes, leveraging predictive efficiency data from the navigation system and traffic conditions.

With the system’s new digital slider, drivers can pre-select desired battery charge levels, optimizing power usage for urban or longer highway segments. At speeds under 65 km/h, the engine maintains the battery level, while above that threshold, it can efficiently charge the battery up to 75%.

Advanced Battery Tech and Smart Recuperation

The upgraded high-voltage battery features cell-to-pack technology, eliminating traditional battery modules to maximize energy density within minimal space.

Despite its compact design, the battery allows for 11 kW AC charging, enabling a full charge in just 2.5 hours. Each prismatic cell provides 70 Ah, with the overall system arranged into six stacks of 17 cells.

Regenerative braking has also been enhanced. Drivers can manually adjust three recuperation levels using steering-wheel paddles. In automatic mode, the vehicle uses map data and traffic signals to apply regenerative braking as needed.

The system can recover up to 88 kW of energy during deceleration, covering over 90% of braking scenarios without engaging the hydraulic brakes.

Quattro Handling and Luxury Comfort

All models feature quattro ultra all-wheel drive and standard all-wheel steering, improving agility in urban environments and enhancing stability on highways.

The system turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction at speeds up to 60 km/h and in the same direction at higher speeds, shrinking the turning radius and boosting control.
