Aston Martin kicks off 2025 with a bold pursuit of victory at the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona, North America’s most iconic endurance race. Four Vantage GT3s will compete in the event, aiming for dominance in both GTD Pro and GTD classes.
Star Teams and Drivers
The Heart of Racing (THOR) team leads Aston Martin’s charge with entries in both GTD Pro and GTD categories. The #007 Vantage GT3 in GTD Pro features a powerhouse lineup, including Roman De Angelis, Marco Sørensen, Ross Gunn, and Alex Riberas, all seasoned endurance racers.
In GTD, the #27 Vantage is piloted by Zacharie Robichon, Tom Gamble, Casper Stevenson, and Mattia Drudi, marking several drivers’ IMSA debuts.

Magnus Racing, a two-time Rolex 24 class winner, fields another Vantage in GTD, led by John Potter, Andy Lally, Spencer Pumpelly, and Nicki Thiim.
Additionally, van der Steur Racing makes its IMSA GTD debut with a Vantage GT3 driven by Valentin Hasse Clot, Maxime Robin, Andrew McIntosh, and Rory van der Steur, expanding Aston Martin’s footprint.
Proven Performance
The Vantage GT3, built on Aston Martin’s aluminum chassis and powered by a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 engine, has already proven its mettle. It achieved class wins in major endurance races last year, including a triumph at the 24 Hours of Spa.
These successes set high expectations for Daytona, where Aston Martin will rely on its engineering expertise and robust driver lineup to secure top results.
Expanding Presence in Daytona
Beyond the GT3 entries, four new Vantage GT4s will compete in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. Team TGM, Rebel Rock Racing, and van der Steur Racing will represent Aston Martin, with drivers like Matt Plumb, Paul Holton, and Robin Liddell aiming to replicate their 2024 success.
Building Momentum
The Rolex 24 is just the start of a milestone year for Aston Martin. Following Daytona, the brand will debut its works Valkyrie hypercar in IMSA’s GTP class at the 12 Hours of Sebring in March.
Adam Carter, Head of Endurance Motorsport, highlights the significance of these races, stating, “Daytona is a premier event, and our lineup and engineering support reflect Aston Martin’s commitment to global endurance success.”
The 63rd Rolex 24 at Daytona begins on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:40 PM ET, promising a thrilling spectacle as Aston Martin targets glory on one of motorsport’s grandest stages.
