Final Run of Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglios

It’s always a sad day when you hear about a favorite high-performance car or SUV being discontinued, but that’s the news today.

The final run of 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglios will conclude as limited-edition Super Sports, with fewer than 150 units marked for sale here in the U.S.

These vehicles will be sent off in style with the use of carbon fiber, special colors, and Alfa’s awesome 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine backed by new drivetrain tuning.

Let’s start with that engine news, since the twin-turbo V-6 will produce the same 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque as previous Quadrifoglios. It’s backed by the mechanical limited-slip differential from the Giulia GTA in both the Giulia Super Sport sedan and the Stelvio, requiring unique tuning from Alfa’s GTA department. This optimizes the torque transfer while also improving the stability, agility, and cornering speeds of both vehicles. With these improvements, the Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport hits 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, according to Alfa, and tops out at 191 mph, while the Stelvio hits 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds but with a lower top speed of 176 mph.

Carbon Fiber Treatment

Both Super Sports feature a complement of functional carbon fiber parts outside the standard carbon driveshaft. The hood, roof of the Giulia, spoiler, and side skirts are all made from the lightweight material, improving dynamics by reducing the mass of each vehicle. The Stelvio will gain an optional dual-pane sunroof over a carbon fiber one. Other carbon parts that aren’t as functional include the “V” of the grille shield and sideview mirror caps. A further function for the Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport is its active carbon fiber front splitter for improved stability and performance of the airflow under this high-performance SUV.

Unique Exterior Features

Further differentiating the Super Sports from regular Quadrifoglios is the extensive use of black and dark-colored features, including the five-hole wheels (19 inchers on the Giulia and 21s on the Stelvio) finished in a dark tint. Behind these wheels are black-painted Brembo brake calipers. These dark pieces are joined by three exclusive paint schemes: Alfa’s beautiful Rosso Etna red, Nero Vulcano black, or—as a true contrast to the dark trim—Bianco Alfa white. That white is only available on the Giulia, unfortunately, but other colors are available for the Super Sports beyond those three exclusive colors.

Racy Carbon Interior

Inside, the Super Sports feature 3D red carbon fiber trim on the dashboard, center console, and door panels—all firsts for Alfa Romeo. The headrests feature the “Super Sport” logo embroidered in red and the production number to further distinguish the Super Sport interior from a regular Giulia or Stelvio. The steering wheels are finished in leather and Alcantara with black stitching, carbon fiber accents, and aluminum column-mounted paddle shifters. You’ll also find the four-mode Alfa DNA Pro selector while the Stelvio adds the Q4 AWD system for unique performance from the Super Sport SUV.

While driving these Super Sports at their limits, owners can keep track of various data via the 12.3-inch TFT digital dash with four info layouts. The first three are found across all Alfa Romeos but the fourth—the “Race” configuration—displays essential data for the driver like the tachometer, speedometer, and shift light with extra vehicle performance data able to be added to the sidebars of the screen.
