The media debut of the Junior Ibrida Q4, Alfa Romeo’s new all-wheel-drive hybrid, has wrapped up, revealing a compact yet powerful car designed for control, comfort, and performance in any condition.
The Q4 setup pairs a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with two electric motors, producing a total of 145 hp. It also debuts MultiLink rear suspension on this platform, boosting ride comfort and agility.

The Q4 is the only premium compact car in its class to offer an all-wheel-drive variant with smart rear-axle management, thanks to Power Looping Technology that ensures AWD remains active even at low battery levels by using the front motor to generate power for the rear.
The Alfa Romeo DNA driving mode selector includes four settings—Dynamic, Natural, Advanced Efficiency, and Q4—allowing the car to adapt to various conditions. In Natural and Efficiency modes, the system prioritizes front-wheel drive to save energy but can switch to AWD when needed.
Dynamic mode focuses on performance, keeping AWD active from 0 to 40 km/h, while Q4 mode maintains AWD up to 30 km/h, before transitioning to SMART Q4 for faster rear-drive activation up to 90 km/h.
The Q4 system significantly improves handling, reducing understeer by 30% and allowing faster, more precise cornering compared to the front-wheel-drive hybrid.
