Turin, Italy – Alfa Romeo’s 33 Stradale has completed rigorous high-speed testing at the Nardò Technical Center, achieving its target top speed of 333 km/h and validating its status as a high-performance supercar.
This milestone follows earlier handling tests at the Balocco Proving Ground and confirms the 33 Stradale’s readiness for its first customer deliveries in December.
High-Speed Excellence at Nardò
The Nardò test session focused on validating key performance metrics, including aerodynamics, propulsive cooling, cabin soundproofing, and handling at extreme speeds.

The 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, delivering over 620 hp, paired with an 8-speed DCT gearbox and rear-wheel drive, enabled acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds. The sculpted design of the 33 Stradale optimizes aerodynamics, contributing to its exceptional performance.
The Nardò Ring’s unique design—a 12.6-km circular track—allowed the team to push the prototype to its limits, simulating an endless straight line for seamless high-speed testing.

Advanced Engineering for a Superior Drive
The 33 Stradale features cutting-edge technologies, including:
- Dual drive modes:
- Strada (Road) for comfort, smooth power delivery, and softer suspension.
- Pista (Track) for peak performance, sharper handling, and maximum acceleration.
- Alfa Romeo Brake-By-Wire system: Carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes provide exceptional stopping power, bringing the car from 100 km/h to 0 in under 33 meters.
- Custom suspension: A 100% Alfa Romeo dual-arm suspension system with active shock absorbers ensures precision and stability at high speeds.

Handling Tests at Balocco
Earlier testing at the historic Balocco Proving Ground refined the car’s braking, balance, and steering response. Engineers validated the 33 Stradale’s agility and driver engagement through a combination of its aluminum H-frame, carbon-fiber monocoque, and semi-virtual steering system, offering unparalleled lateral acceleration and handling precision.

A Supercar for All Drivers
Alfa Romeo ensured that the 33 Stradale delivers exhilarating performance while remaining accessible for non-professional drivers. Dynamic tests highlighted its smooth transitions between comfort and adrenaline-fueled driving, supported by its unmistakable V6 engine sound, described as a “mechanical symphony.”
The 33 Stradale embodies Alfa Romeo’s legacy of blending engineering excellence with emotional driving experiences. With its first delivery imminent, this exclusive model—limited to just 33 units—ushers in a new chapter of automotive mastery.
