August 8, 2024 – Acura has introduced its refreshed 2025 RDX performance SUV, elevating the popular 5-passenger vehicle with sophisticated styling, an updated cabin, and enhanced technology. The new model features a “frameless” Diamond Pentagon grille and aggressive grille mesh, providing a more distinctive look. It also includes a redesigned center console offering increased storage, larger cupholders, and easier access to the wireless smartphone charger.
The standard 10.2-inch HD center display now boasts a wide-screen mode for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility, further enhancing the in-car experience. Mike Langel, Acura’s assistant vice president of national sales, remarked, “This is the most premium RDX we’ve ever made,” emphasizing Acura’s commitment to advancing Precision Crafted Performance.

Styling Enhancements
The refreshed RDX’s exterior reflects Acura’s latest design direction, featuring a “frameless” Diamond Pentagon grille and premium gloss-black exterior trim. All trims sport new wheel designs, with standard Berlina Black 19-inch wheels. The Advance Package offers exclusive body-color lower exterior trim and Berlina Black Machine-finished 19-inch wheels. The A-Spec and A-Spec with Advance Package trims feature a sportier appearance with blacked-out exterior treatments and new 20-inch wheels.
The 2025 RDX introduces three new paint colors: Solar Silver Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and Urban Gray Pearl, aligning with the refreshed 2025 MDX.
Updated Cabin
Inside, the RDX’s redesigned center console offers improved storage solutions and easier access to the wireless smartphone charger. The standard 10.2-inch HD display includes a new wide-screen mode, enhancing compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™. The top trims feature full-leather upholstery, additional ambient lighting, and illuminated front- and rear-door speaker cones.
Performance and Technology
The RDX continues to impress with its 272-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC® 4-cylinder engine, paired with a sport-tuned 10-speed automatic transmission. The Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ system ensures superior line trace, distributing up to 70% of torque to the rear axle and 100% to the outside rear wheel.

Manufacturing
The third-generation RDX is designed and developed in America, manufactured at Acura’s East Liberty Auto Plant in Ohio, with its 2.0-liter VTEC® turbo engine produced at the Anna Engine Plant and the SH-AWD™ system at the Honda Transmission Plant. The RDX has been recognized among the Top 12 most American-made vehicles by Cars.com.
