The first retail production 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ EV raised $550,000 at auction, benefiting Detroit Children’s Fund to support education for Detroit’s youth.

Detroit Children’s Fund (DCF), a nonprofit focused on improving education for Detroit’s youth, will receive $550,000 from the auction of the first retail production 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ, VIN 001.

The funds were raised at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction on October 12, 2024, with Barrett-Jackson waiving all fees to ensure the full amount benefits DCF.

General Motors President Mark Reuss emphasized the importance of education, stating, “We’re thrilled that the sale of the first ESCALADE IQ will support the vital work of the Detroit Children’s Fund in our hometown.”

The funds will help DCF bridge the education funding gap and support thousands of students in Detroit public schools.

Nick Karmanos, CEO of DCF, expressed gratitude for the donation, calling it “life-changing support” for Detroit’s children.

The 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ, a luxury electric SUV, boasts a range of 460 miles and includes Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology. It features a 55-inch curved display and, with the executive second-row seating package, an available 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system.
