Nissan unveils the new Magnite compact SUV in India, featuring bold design, advanced tech, and enhanced safety, with plans to expand exports to over 65 global markets.

Nissan has introduced the new Magnite compact SUV in India, where it will be manufactured and sold. Combining sleek design, innovative tech, and enhanced safety, the Magnite is part of Nissan’s strategy to position India as a key manufacturing hub under its mid-term Arc business plan.

By 2026, Nissan aims to export nearly 100,000 units to over 65 global markets, marking the largest market coverage for any vehicle in its Africa, Middle East, India, and Oceania (AMIO) region.

The Magnite stands out with bold exterior styling, LED lights, alloy wheels, and roof rails. Inside, it features advanced tech like a configurable TFT driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and adjustable ambient lighting.

New features such as remote engine start, walk-away lock, approach unlock, and an air ionizer further enhance convenience and comfort.

Safety is also a priority, with six airbags standard across all variants, a reinforced bodyshell, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Under the hood, the Magnite is powered by a turbocharged 1.0-liter engine, providing a balance of fuel efficiency and performance, available with manual or CVT transmission options.

Designed for urban mobility, the compact SUV accommodates five passengers and includes an Around View Monitor for easy parking in tight spaces. Since its 2020 launch, the Magnite has sold over 150,000 units and is currently exported to 20 right-hand drive markets. Starting in 2025, Nissan plans to expand exports to over 45 left-hand drive markets, further solidifying India as a key export hub alongside the UK.
