Hyundai Motor America reported total September sales of 62,491 units, a 9% decline compared to September 2023.
Despite this, the company set new sales records for hybrid models, with Santa Fe HEV sales up 87%, Tucson HEV up 52%, and Palisade sales up 9%. Hybrid vehicle sales jumped 36% overall in September.

In Q3, Hyundai achieved record retail sales, with total sales reaching 210,971 units, a 5% increase over Q3 2023. Key highlights included strong demand for IONIQ 5 and hybrid models. Hyundai also marked a major milestone by surpassing 100 million vehicles produced globally.
Specific model performances in September saw gains for the Elantra (+19%) and Sonata (+64%), while Ioniq 5 and Kona saw declines of 16% and 23%, respectively.
Palisade sales rose by 9%, and Tucson remained Hyundai’s top seller despite an 11% drop. Overall, year-to-date (YTD) sales are up 2%, with 610,494 units sold compared to 595,147 in 2023.
Additionally, Hyundai announced several new initiatives, including the release of the refreshed U.S.-built 2025 IONIQ 5 and new incentives for IONIQ 5 N customers, offering a complimentary ChargePoint charger or a $450 charging credit.
