Day 5 of the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024 saw riders push through the Namib Desert, transitioning from the Atlantic coast to the rugged interior.
Leaving Swakopmund, the riders tackled tough terrain, battling fog, heat, and challenging landscapes. This leg marked the start of their final journey in Namibia, as they approached the finish line.

Highlights included the Bosua Pass, where riders reached 1,728 meters above sea level, and two special challenges. The LEATT Push Challenge required teams to jump-start a stalled bike, testing strength and coordination.
Later, the Midgard Slow Trial demanded balance and precision as riders navigated a course at the slowest speed possible.
As teams neared Windhoek, they reflected on the isolation of Namibia, encountering only a handful of locals and vehicles. With just one day left, the competition is tight, especially between Teams Germany and South Africa.
