The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid and the Lexus RX450h+ plug-in hybrid offer two distinct takes on luxury midsize SUVs.
Lincoln’s redesigned Nautilus brings a larger, more luxurious SUV, boasting standout tech, while the Lexus RX continues to set standards with its modern, efficient design.

Inside, the Nautilus impresses with its 48-inch screen setup, lush materials, and a cabin that echoes the opulence of the larger Navigator. Lexus counters with a tech-rich interior, but its design feels more familiar, resembling other Lexus models.
Both SUVs feature touch-sensitive steering wheel controls, ventilated seats, and premium sound systems, though Lincoln edges out with a 28-speaker Revel system compared to Lexus’ 21-speaker Mark Levinson setup.
Size-wise, the Nautilus is bigger, offering more cargo and passenger space, while the RX is slightly more efficient with its plug-in hybrid setup, offering 37 miles of all-electric range and a total range of 540 miles. The Nautilus doesn’t need plugging in and boasts a longer overall range of 600 miles.
When it comes to driving dynamics, the Lexus is quicker and handles better in testing, but the Lincoln focuses more on a smooth, comfortable ride with features like adaptive shocks and the BlueCruise hands-free driving system.
The Nautilus Hybrid Black Label starts at $77,445, compared to the Lexus RX450h+’s $70,580, but Lincoln includes more standard features, narrowing the price gap. Overall, the Nautilus delivers a more indulgent luxury experience, while the Lexus shines in efficiency and driving performance.
