Ford is the first automaker to join a new program in Southern California that compensates electric vehicle owners for reducing home energy use during peak grid demand.
In partnership with Olivine ClimateResponse® VPP, Ford’s California Power Response program offers customers financial incentives by automatically pausing EV charging during high-demand periods.

Customers earn $1 for every kilowatt-hour of energy saved, with the option to resume charging if needed.
