Honda’s two-motor hybrid system, powering the 2025 Honda Civic Sedan and Hatchback, has earned a spot on the “Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems” list for the second consecutive year.
This advanced fourth-generation system, a key part of Honda’s electrification strategy, delivers higher fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance or space.
It is also featured in the Accord and CR-V hybrids, which together account for over half of those models’ sales. In 2023, the CR-V was America’s best-selling hybrid SUV, and the Accord Hybrid was the top-selling hybrid sedan.

It achieves up to 50 mpg in city driving, with adjustable regenerative braking and optimized handling for a more comfortable, quieter ride.
