BMW M has revealed its latest addition to the MotoGP™ safety fleet—the hybrid-powered BMW M5 MotoGP™ Safety Car. Unveiled during a customer event at the House of BMW in Milan, this high-performance vehicle will debut at the Misano Grand Prix on Saturday.
The presentation was led by Sylvia Neubauer, Vice President of Customer, Brand, and Sales at BMW M GmbH, alongside Massimiliano Di Silvestre, CEO of BMW Italia.

The BMW M5 Safety Car, built on the innovative M HYBRID platform, features a combination of a high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and an electric motor, delivering a powerful 727 hp.
This latest model continues BMW M’s 26-year partnership with MotoGP™, upholding its commitment to cutting-edge safety technology.
The new safety car boasts an exclusive graffiti-style livery inspired by BMW’s M Hybrid V8 race cars and includes specialized features for racetrack use, such as Recaro seats, a fire extinguisher, and an aramid rear diffuser.
MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi, now a BMW M works driver, was among the guests at the unveiling.
The BMW M5 Safety Car will make its first appearance on the track during the Gran Premio Red Bull di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.
