A fire broke out over the weekend in the parking lot of Rivian’s plant in Normal, Illinois, damaging nearly 60 Rivian R1T electric pickup trucks and R1S electric SUVs.

Aerial photos show a cordoned-off area with fire-damaged vehicles. While a source told Luxury Auto News that the affected vehicles were set for scrapping, others claim they were awaiting repairs.
