A millionaire businessman has bought one of the most exclusive Ferraris in existence – and he can’t even take it home for a spin.

Luis Pérez Companc, 52, has purchased a Ferrari 499P Modificata – a modified version of the 499P that has won the last two 24 Hours of Le Mans races.

The Argentine businessman, one of the heirs to the Pérez Companc fortune, was able to buy the posh motor as he is a part of the Corse Clienti – a programme available only to Ferrari’s most exclusive clients.

He was presented with his new acquisition at the Ferrari-owned Fiorano Circuit in Italy.

However, Pérez will only be able to drive his flash motor during official test drives organised by Ferrari at the Fiorano track and other circuits around the world – as it is not approved for road use.

Pérez’s swanky 499P Modificata has a 3.0 hybrid V6 engine that powers up to 870bhp and weighs 1 tonne (1,000kg).

The cockpit was designed to fit the owner’s exact measurements.

Pérez has raced rally and racing cars since 2001, as reported by Luxury Auto News.

He boasts class wins such as the Spa 24 Hours in 2009, and 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in 2013 and 2014.

Ferrari has not yet announced the vehicle’s official sale price, but it is estimated to have a value of over £3.9 million ($5 million).
