The updated 2025 Honda Civic lineup showcases sportier styling, improved fuel economy, and the introduction of a hybrid-electric powertrain. The Civic hybrid, boasting 232 lb.-ft of torque, is the most powerful non-Type R Civic ever and achieves a commendable 50 mpg in city driving according to EPA ratings. Honda anticipates that hybrid-electric models will account for approximately 40% of annual Civic sales, underscoring the brand’s commitment to electrification.

The 2025 Honda Civic Sedan has begun arriving at dealerships, with the new hybrid model set to join next week. Building on the success of the 11th-generation Civic, the 2022 North American Car of the Year, the refreshed lineup features enhanced styling, advanced technology, and the new efficient hybrid-electric powertrain available in both sedan and hatchback variants.

The 2025 Civic Sedan comes in four trim levels: LX, Sport, Sport Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid. The base LX starts at an MSRP of $24,250, while the Sport Hybrid begins at $28,750. According to Lance Woelfer, Vice President of Auto Sales at American Honda Motor Co., the new Civic will invigorate the compact car market, where it already holds a significant share.

The hybrid models incorporate Honda’s powerful two-motor hybrid-electric system, delivering 232 lb.-ft of torque for swift acceleration and impressive fuel efficiency of 50 mpg city and 49 mpg combined. Enhancements to ride and handling dynamics, including unique spring and damper tuning and specialized tires, further enhance the driving experience. The hybrids also feature advanced noise reduction technologies, including Active Noise Control and wheel resonators.

The 2025 Civic features a more aggressive front fascia and grille, with darker taillights for a sharper look. Hybrid models sport distinct body-colored headlamp garnishes and front lower spoilers. The Sport trim now offers a refined 2.0-liter engine or a 200 hp hybrid-electric powertrain, with the latter providing exceptional fuel economy.

The top-tier Sport Touring Hybrid boasts a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility, and the first integration of Google built-in, offering a personalized driving experience with a complimentary 3-year unlimited data plan.
