The second ever McLaren P1 ever made with a hair raising top speed of 217mph is going under the hammer for £1.8 million.

The 2014 supercar has the chassis number 002.

The 10-year-old motor is powered by an exceptional 3.8-litre twin-turbo V-8 engine.

It allows the flash motor to go from 0-60mph in 2.7 seconds and boasts an impressive 893bhp, as reported by Luxury Auto News.

Only 375 P1’s were ever made by the luxury British car manufacturers, with each one being individually tailored.

The exterior of the car is finished in an eye-catching slick green colour with a black leather and green carbon interior design.

The auction in Monterey, California, US, takes place on August 17.

The event is being held by RM Sotheby’s.
A spokesperson for the auctioneers said: “Positioned at its introduction as ‘the new F1’, the McLaren P1 was a tour de force of the most advanced automotive technology.

“It featured a carbon monocoque chassis, scarcely tipping the scales at only 200 pounds, and external bodywork and major cabin structures created from a stunning, lightweight assemblage of carbon fibre panels.
