Great performance cars are birthed from passion, not necessity. They exist solely to bring driving pleasure to enthusiasts. Every Polestar model offers a unique thrill, but for those seeking the pinnacle of performance, we present BST.
The BST journey began with a one-off, unique Polestar 2. Conceived in secrecy by Joakim Rydholm, our Head of Chassis Development, it was a bold experiment in pushing the Polestar 2 to its limits. Enhanced with more power, stickier tires, robust suspension, and a strut-brace through the boot, it represented the ultimate electric driving experience.

The battleship grey ‘experimental Polestar 2’ became a fixture outside our headquarters, driven daily by Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath. Observers on social media nicknamed it the ‘Beast,’ a moniker that eventually evolved into BST.
Introducing the Polestar 2 BST edition 270, a car that embodies our performance DNA. With 350kW/476hp, bespoke Öhlins dampers, a lowered ride height, and Pirelli P Zero tires, it is a testament to driving precision.
In 2023, the BST story continued with the Polestar 2 BST edition 230, featuring Nebula paintwork and eco-friendly MicroSuede interior textiles.
The journey of BST was just beginning…

Before embarking on this journey, Polestar, a design-focused brand, needed a concept to define BST. Enter the Polestar Concept BST.
This concept is not a production car but a design study in extremity, showcasing our vision of the wilder side of Scandinavian design. It features classic motorsport-style silver paint with a wrap-around BST decal. Inspired by legendary racing car liveries, we wanted to create our own distinctive look.
At the front, the Concept BST sports a large splitter, complemented by a rear diffuser. It has a wider track with flared arches and a lowered stance, riding on 22-inch wheels with performance tires. Hints of Swedish gold are visible through the rims, highlighting the large brake calipers.
Inside, the car boasts motorsport-inspired Nappa leather seats and gold detailing, with innovative design elements integrated into the passenger cell.
A standout feature is the extensive rear wing, a first for Polestar. While conceptual, it demonstrates the BST approach to aerodynamic enhancements.
