Opel has unveiled an expansive lineup of battery-electric vehicles tailored for modern families, combining innovative technologies, generous space, and environmentally conscious performance.

In time for the International Day of Families on May 15, the brand is spotlighting its electric range with the campaign theme “Time for us: Living Family Life,” positioning itself as a leader in accessible, emissions-free family transport.

The newly introduced Opel Grandland Electric stands out as the flagship model. Developed in Rüsselsheim and manufactured in Eisenach, the SUV integrates cutting-edge features such as Intelli-Lux HD lighting and ergonomic Intelli-Seats.

Based on the STLA Medium platform, the Grandland offers up to 582 kilometres of range (WLTP), with a forthcoming version extending to around 700 kilometres. Its 213 hp electric motor enables rapid acceleration, and 160 kW fast-charging capability supports convenient long-distance travel.

Also new is the Opel Frontera Electric, a compact, budget-friendly SUV offering smart packaging and comfort. Recently premiered at dealerships in Germany, the Frontera seats five and includes features like Intelli-Seats for ergonomic travel.

With a 44 kWh battery, it currently provides a 305-kilometre range, which will increase to approximately 400 kilometres in the upcoming ‘Long Range’ edition.

For larger households, Opel Combo Electric and Zafira Electric present compelling options. The Combo, available in two lengths, can carry five to seven passengers and offers up to 4,000 litres of cargo space. It boasts a practical design with flexible seating and access features, and a 345-kilometre range.

Meanwhile, the Zafira, available with 49 kWh or 75 kWh batteries, can transport up to eight passengers and includes rear vis-à-vis seating, sensor-operated sliding doors, and up to 4,900 litres of storage space. The larger battery version reaches 347 kilometres per charge.

Completing the lineup is the Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric, a trailblazer among electric estate cars. With a sleek design and light construction, it delivers a range of up to 411 kilometres. The estate also supports everyday practicality with up to 1,553 litres of cargo space and comfort features like AGR-certified ergonomic seats.

Across the lineup, Opel’s vehicles share zero-emissions operation and efficient energy use, reflected in CO2 labels rated A. Through its “Electric All In” initiative, Opel is further reducing the barriers to entry for electric mobility.

The offer, available to private customers until June 30, 2025, includes services such as a home charging unit, navigation tools for e-routes, eight years of mobile charging and roadside assistance, and a long-term battery warranty.

With this new range, Opel underscores its commitment to affordable, family-friendly electromobility—making it easier than ever to make the switch.
