The Opel Corsa has achieved a major milestone, surpassing one million units sold of its current generation since its 2019 launch.
Produced in Zaragoza, Spain, the popular small car continues to gain traction across Europe, with Q1 2025 registrations rising 18% over the previous quarter. Since the Corsa’s debut in 1982, around 15 million have been sold globally.

The Corsa remains Germany’s top-selling small car for the fourth consecutive year and has led the UK’s B-segment market from 2021 to 2023. It also claimed the number-one spot in Greece’s passenger car rankings in 2023 and ranked among the top three in several other European countries in early 2025.
Praised for its agility, modern design, and advanced features like Intelli-Lux Matrix headlights, the Corsa is offered with a diverse range of drivetrains—including electric, hybrid, and efficient combustion options.
The latest Corsa Electric variant boasts a range of up to 429 km (WLTP), improved by 6% with no added cost.
Opel CEO Florian Huettl attributed the car’s success to its wide appeal: “With its fresh design, affordable top technologies and high flexibility packed in compact dimensions, it appeals to the most diverse groups of customers.”
Recognized with multiple awards, including ‘Best Electric City Vehicle’ in 2025, the Corsa continues to thrive as a leading choice for drivers seeking a compact, efficient, and stylish ride.
