Alexander Zverev claimed his third BMW Open title in Munich, defeating Ben Shelton in straight sets in the tournament’s debut as an ATP 500 event. The top-seeded German dominated the Easter Sunday final, winning 6-2, 6-1 in just 71 minutes before a crowd of over 6,000.
Marking his 24th ATP title and tying Philipp Kohlschreiber’s record for most Munich wins, Zverev celebrated his victory—and 28th birthday—with the keys to a new all-electric BMW iX M70.

His performance also secured 361 FUTURE ACES coaching hours for disadvantaged youth, thanks to a partnership that donates a session for each ace served.

The tournament finale also featured a standout performance by British wheelchair tennis star Alfie Hewett, who took home both singles and doubles titles in the Allianz Para Trophy.

Meanwhile, in the men’s doubles, André Göransson and Sem Verbeek denied a home victory, beating Germany’s Krawietz and Pütz 6-4, 6-4.
