Inspired by the look of a 1950s sports car, the motor is in fantastic condition, with just 109 miles on the clock.

The vehicle is also kitted out with a twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V-12 engine.
The unique looking Aston Martin has a hair-raising top speed of 195mph and 715 bhp.

The open-cockpit design was inspired by the luxury car manufacturers’ iconic sports cars such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning DBR1 and the DB3S.
The exterior is finished in the iconic Aston Martin Racing Green and the interior is kitted out in a Forest Green colourway over AMR Lime contrast stitching, as reported by Luxury Auto News.

Alonso won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship title in 2005 and 2006.
He has won 32 Grands Prix in his career.
The Spanish driver used to race for Ferrari but now drives for Aston Martin.

RM Sotheby’s, who are hosting the sale, said: “Delivered via Aston Martin Hilversum in the Netherlands, the car’s chassis designation ends in 14.
“This matches the race number of Fernando Alonso.
“Appropriately, the DBR22 has had its dashboard and booklets signed by the two-time Formula 1 World Champion and current Aston Martin driver following a visit to the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.

“A virtually as-new example, with the odometer displaying a mere 177 kilometres at the time of cataloguing, this DBR22 would make for a remarkable addition to any collection.”
The motor features alongside another eye-catching vehicle as part of a dual sale.
The 2024 Aston Martin Valour is set to fetch a huge £1.4 million when it heads to auction.
