Rivian and HelloFresh have hit a major sustainability milestone, announcing that their partnership has helped eliminate over 200 tonnes of carbon emissions so far.

Since Rivian opened commercial van sales to the public, HelloFresh became the EV maker’s first major fleet customer, adding 70 all-electric Rivian vans to its delivery operations, specifically under the company’s Factor brand of ready-made meals.

These electric vans now make up nearly 25% of HelloFresh’s last-mile fleet. Since the rollout, they’ve logged over 250,000 miles, saving around 20,000 gallons of gasoline and cutting emissions equal to the carbon captured by 300 acres of U.S. forest.
