Lancia marked its return to rally racing with a major presence at the Rally Regione Piemonte, drawing over 25,000 fans to Alba’s Lancia Corse HF Village.
The brand showcased the hybrid and electric New Ypsilon, a collection of 25 classic models, and the debut of the 280-hp Ypsilon HF and Ypsilon Rally4 HF.
Rally legend Miki Biasion, two-time World Champion with Lancia, headlined the weekend with a lap of honor and support for the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, which he helped develop.

The car debuted strongly, claiming third place in the Sparco Italian Two-Wheel Drive Championship with Team Pisani-Biagi.

With over 90 units sold in four months, the 212-hp Ypsilon Rally4 HF has already made its mark. Finnish driver Kauppinen opened the event with a stage win, while several teams—including Vigliaturo-Corradini and Fiore-Casalini—were honored for their participation with commemorative plaques.

The rally also previewed the Trofeo Lancia, a one-make cup launching May 8 at the Rally Targa Florio. Featuring 40 teams—25 of them Under-35—the cup offers a €360,000 prize and a shot at joining Lancia’s official FIA ERC 2026 squad.

Biasion called the comeback emotional: “We’re back! Our aim is to support young talent and bring Italian cars back to rally’s forefront. This is big not just for Lancia, but for motorsport as a whole.”
