Lexus has unveiled the updated 2025 RZ, featuring expanded powertrain options, improved efficiency, and cutting-edge technology.
Debuting in Europe in autumn 2025, the new RZ offers greater range, faster charging, and enhanced performance, making it the brand’s most advanced electric SUV to date.
A key highlight is Lexus’ first-ever steer-by-wire system, providing intuitive handling and a unique cockpit design with a compact steering yoke.

The RZ’s chassis, developed at Lexus’ Shimoyama Test Center, incorporates the Lexus Driving Signature philosophy for confident, comfortable handling. The updated DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system now offers improved power distribution for better stability and control.
The lineup includes three powertrain options:
- RZ 350e – 224 hp (165 kW)
- RZ 500e – 380 hp (280 kW)
- RZ 550e F SPORT – 408 hp (300 kW)
The F SPORT variant, making its debut in the RZ range, delivers a sportier drive with enhanced suspension and performance tuning.
It also introduces Lexus’ Interactive Manual Drive, a first for the brand, simulating an eight-speed manual transmission with paddle shifters, torque adjustments, and realistic engine sounds for a more engaging experience.
Battery advancements boost range by up to 100 km, while a 22 kW on-board charger shortens charging time to around 30 minutes. New cooling systems and software optimizations improve efficiency, and all-wheel-drive versions can now tow up to 1,500 kg.
Inside, Lexus has refined the cabin with better soundproofing, Ultrasuede upholstery with laser-etched graphics, multi-color ambient lighting, and an improved dimmable panoramic roof. The F SPORT trim enhances aesthetics with sporty bumpers, aerodynamic 20-inch wheels, and exclusive Neutrino Grey paint.
With these advancements, the 2025 Lexus RZ sets a new standard for electric luxury SUVs, blending performance, innovation, and driver engagement.
