Toyota unveils its third-generation fuel cell system, enhancing hydrogen efficiency, durability, and affordability for commercial vehicles, with global rollouts from 2026.

Toyota Motor Corporation has unveiled its third-generation fuel cell system (3rd Gen FC System), marking another step toward a hydrogen-powered future.

Designed primarily for commercial vehicles, the new system offers diesel-like durability, improved fuel efficiency, and lower costs compared to its predecessor.

Beyond passenger cars, Toyota plans to expand the technology to heavy-duty commercial vehicles, with market rollouts expected in Japan, Europe, North America, and China starting as early as 2026.
