Volkswagen is expanding its lineup of turbocharged petrol engines, adding high-performance 2.0 TSI 4MOTION variants to the Tiguan, Tayron, and Passat.
These new models combine intelligent all-wheel drive with impressive towing capacities—up to 2,200 kg for the Tiguan and Passat and 2,500 kg for the Tayron—while also enhancing driving stability in all conditions.

The Tiguan and Tayron can now be configured with 150 kW (204 PS) or 195 kW (265 PS) engine options, while the Passat 2.0 TSI 4MOTION comes exclusively with 195 kW (265 PS) and sporty R-Line equipment.

This powerful engine, adapted from the Golf GTI, has been tuned for these larger vehicles, delivering 400 Nm of torque for stronger performance.
With 4MOTION technology, these models drive primarily on the front axle to save fuel but automatically engage all-wheel drive when needed. An integrated Trailer mode optimizes power distribution when towing.

Performance figures are impressive:
- Passat 2.0 TSI 4MOTION: 0-100 km/h in 5.8 sec, 250 km/h top speed (€62,990)
- Tiguan 2.0 TSI 4MOTION: 0-100 km/h in 5.9 sec, 242 km/h top speed (€57,995)
- Tayron 2.0 TSI 4MOTION: 0-100 km/h in 6.3 sec, 240 km/h top speed (€59,755)
With WLTP consumption ranging between 7.5 to 9.0 l/100 km, these powerful yet efficient models are now available in select European markets.
