Mercedes-Benz is accelerating its digital transformation by migrating key business applications to the cloud through RISE with SAP on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This strategic move aims to enhance efficiency, innovation, and flexibility while standardizing IT processes across the company. Following the contract signing in December 2024, the gradual transition is now underway.
By leveraging AWS as its sole cloud provider, Mercedes-Benz simplifies operations, improves reliability, and integrates AI-driven efficiencies across its value chain—from finance and logistics to after-sales services.

“With the migration to ‘RISE with SAP’ on AWS, we can make processes leaner and more efficient, creating space for innovation,” says Katrin Lehmann, CIO of Mercedes-Benz AG.
The shift to RISE with SAP also ensures continuous updates via SAP S/4HANA, allowing Mercedes-Benz to stay ahead with cutting-edge technology. The collaboration underscores how cloud strategies can drive business transformation, with SAP providing AI-powered tools and AWS enhancing security and performance.
SAP Executive Board Member Thomas Saueressig highlighted the benefits of cloud-based agility, while AWS General Manager Ozgur Tohumcu emphasized their long-standing support in optimizing Mercedes-Benz’s cloud operations.
RISE with SAP is a Business Transformation as a Service solution, offering companies a seamless migration to the cloud while unlocking AI-driven innovations and enhanced operational efficiencies.
