Acura has unveiled plans for its next-generation electric vehicle, the RSX, inspired by the Acura Performance EV Concept. This premium all-electric SUV will debut as the first model on Honda’s new EV platform, paired with the proprietary ASIMO OS, and marks the beginning of EV production at the Honda EV Hub in Ohio later this year.
Prototype testing of the RSX starts this week, featuring a unique camouflage designed by Acura’s global team to highlight its sleek, coupe-like silhouette. Mike Langel, Acura’s assistant VP of national sales, described the RSX as a forward-thinking blend of performance and design, aligning with Acura’s evolving lineup.

Meanwhile, Acura’s compact premium SUV, the 2025 ADX, will launch this spring, introducing a turbocharged gateway model aimed at attracting a new generation of buyers. Alongside, the RDX, MDX, TLX, and Integra continue to strengthen Acura’s reputation as a performance-driven brand.
The Honda EV Hub in Ohio is being retooled to enable production of internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles on a single line. Preparations include installing advanced 6,000-ton die-cast machines for producing key EV components, such as the Intelligent Power Unit (IPU).
Mike Fischer, leader of Honda’s BEV Project, emphasized this as a reimagining of manufacturing processes to set a global benchmark for EV production.
Acura continues to build on its “Precision Crafted Performance” ethos, with its diverse lineup including high-performance Type S variants and a focus on delivering innovation and quality across all models.
