Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced a landmark £300 million investment in its Goodwood manufacturing site to enhance Bespoke and Coachbuild capabilities, the largest expansion since the facility’s opening in 2003.
This move comes as the brand celebrates a record year for its Bespoke division, with a 10% increase in Bespoke content value per motor car and the delivery of 5,712 vehicles in 2024, its third-highest annual sales figure.
Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, described the investment as a “significant vote of confidence” in the marque’s future and commitment to crafting highly personal and complex luxury vehicles.

The site extension supports growing demand for Bespoke commissions and prepares for Rolls-Royce’s transition to an all-electric future.
2024 Highlights
- New Models: Four models debuted globally – Cullinan Series II, Ghost Series II, and their respective Black Badge editions.
- Bespoke Excellence: The Bespoke division delivered groundbreaking projects, incorporating innovative materials like 18-carat gold sculptures and holographic paint finishes. The Phantom Extended remained the most commissioned model, while the Spectre electric coupe achieved the second-highest level of Bespoke content.
- Global Success: Sales were led by North America, Europe, and record results in regions including the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Emerging markets such as Malaysia, Thailand, and the Netherlands also saw significant growth.
Expanding Client Experiences
Rolls-Royce’s exclusive Private Office network grew with new locations in New York and Seoul, complementing existing spaces in Dubai and Shanghai.
These invitation-only hubs allow clients to collaborate directly with designers on their unique commissions. Private Office projects typically generate 25% higher value due to their highly tailored nature.
Meanwhile, the “Whispers” app, Rolls-Royce’s private digital members’ club, saw a 55% increase in membership, strengthening the marque’s relationship with its clients.
Looking Ahead
With this investment, Rolls-Royce is poised to maintain its position as a leader in the ultra-luxury sector. The first model under the marque’s all-electric strategy will be unveiled in 2025, marking the next chapter in Rolls-Royce’s storied legacy.
