Stellantis and dSPACE have announced a partnership to enhance software innovation and development for Stellantis vehicles.
By integrating dSPACE’s VEOS simulation platform into the Stellantis Virtual Engineering Workbench (VEW), engineers can develop and test software up to a year before production hardware is available, streamlining development cycles and reducing time-to-market.

The VEW enables Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing for agile feature development on Stellantis’ STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit, and STLA AutoDrive platforms, which will debut in 2025.
With 80-85% of testing conducted on virtual platforms, Stellantis can deliver software updates faster, ensuring continuous over-the-air improvements across its 14 iconic brands.
“This collaboration with dSPACE empowers us to deliver innovative features faster, meeting customer expectations for intelligent, connected vehicles,” said Yves Bonnefont, Stellantis Chief Software Officer.
The partnership underscores Stellantis’ commitment to sustainable, cutting-edge vehicle development, utilizing advanced simulation tools to drive efficiency and quality in software-defined vehicles. A definitive agreement is expected to follow the non-binding MOU.
