Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), IMAX Corporation, Mercedes-Benz, and DTS, Inc. have unveiled RIDEVU, an in-car entertainment service that brings IMAX Enhanced® content to vehicles, starting with Mercedes-Benz models equipped with the latest MBUX system this summer.
This innovative collaboration debuts at CES 2025, where attendees can experience RIDEVU in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class at Xperi’s booth 5840 in the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall.

RIDEVU enables passengers to enjoy Sony Pictures’ extensive library of IMAX Enhanced films, including blockbusters like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Venom: The Last Dance, and Uncharted.
It combines IMAX’s expanded aspect ratio and DTS:X audio to deliver a cinematic experience on built-in screens or mobile devices within the vehicle. Passengers can use RIDEVU’s Screen Manager for seamless control across up to six displays, offering personalized or shared viewing experiences. Drivers can also access content while parked.
The service is fully integrated with select original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), with Mercedes-Benz as the first global partner. RIDEVU is available in the U.S., Japan, UK, Ireland, and Germany, with options to buy, rent, or stream content.
The collaboration between SPE, IMAX, and DTS underscores their commitment to high-quality entertainment on the go.
Magnus Östberg, Chief Software Officer at Mercedes-Benz, praised the initiative for transforming vehicles into immersive theaters, complemented by Mercedes’ large-format HD displays.
RIDEVU’s introduction marks a leap forward in vehicle entertainment, setting a new standard for in-car experiences. To learn more, visit the official sites of Sony Pictures Entertainment, IMAX, or DTS.
