The 2025 Kia K4 compact sedan has earned the 2024 IIHS Top Safety Pick (TSP) award, a testament to its advanced safety features and thoughtful design. The recognition applies to vehicles built before November 2024.
To qualify, vehicles must achieve “good” ratings in crash tests, including the small overlap front, original moderate overlap front, and updated side tests.

They must also score at least “acceptable” in the pedestrian front crash prevention evaluation and have headlights rated “acceptable” or “good” across all trims. The K4 excelled, earning “good” ratings in all crash tests and pedestrian safety and an “acceptable” rating for headlights.
“The K4 exemplifies Kia’s commitment to safety and innovation,” said Steve Center, COO and EVP of Kia America. He added that the recognition reflects Kia’s dedication to occupant protection and continuous improvement.
As a fourth-generation compact sedan, the K4 features advanced technology, segment-leading rear legroom, and robust driver assistance systems. A turbocharged engine and standard multi-link rear suspension on select trims add to its appeal.
