Gallardo (2004-2005):
The collaboration began with the delivery of the Gallardo 510-4, equipped with a 5.0-litre V10 engine and advanced road safety monitoring tools. It was pivotal in patrolling, detecting traffic violations, and conducting emergency medical missions, including organ transports. A second Gallardo with a refrigerated boot was delivered in 2005, extending its utility to the Bologna region.
Gallardo LP 560-4 (2008):
An upgraded version debuted with a 5.2-litre V10 engine, producing 560 CV, reaching 325 km/h. It excelled in dynamic stability and rapid organ transport, equipped with a refrigerated compartment and defibrillator. It also participated in events like Police Day parades and international showcases, such as Columbus Day in New York.
Huracán LP 610-4 (2014-2017):
Delivered in 2014 and again in 2017, the Huracán brought 610 CV and a top speed of 325 km/h. Its advanced aerodynamics, aluminium-carbon fibre chassis, and enhanced safety lights made it ideal for high-speed missions. In February 2023, it delivered a kidney from L’Aquila to Turin, saving a patient’s life.
Urus Performante (2023):
The latest addition, the Urus Performante, features a twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 666 CV and 850 Nm of torque. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 306 km/h. Customised in Lamborghini’s signature “Polizia di Stato Blue” livery, it includes cutting-edge tools like a collapsible message panel, weapon drawer, defibrillator, and refrigerated organ transport compartment.
Lamborghini’s commitment to social responsibility and cutting-edge technology reinforces its bond with the Italian State Police. “This partnership reflects our deep respect for Italy and its institutions,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini’s Chairman and CEO. With vehicles that save lives and promote safety, this collaboration remains a testament to innovation and civic duty.
