Hyundai Motor Group has achieved a standout performance at the 2024 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awards, securing 22 accolades for models from Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia.
This total accounts for 21% of all awards issued, the highest among automakers this year. Hyundai ranked second and Genesis tied for third among global brands with the most honors.

Hyundai earned nine awards, including TSP+ wins for the IONIQ 5, KONA, TUCSON, and IONIQ 6. Genesis took home eight awards, with TSP+ recognition for seven models like the Electrified G80 and GV70. Kia received five awards, led by the TSP+ for the TELLURIDE.
The IIHS raised safety criteria in 2024, focusing on rear-seat passenger protection and pedestrian crash avoidance. All awarded vehicles met rigorous standards, reflecting Hyundai Motor Group’s commitment to safety innovation and leadership.
