Porsche is redefining electric mobility with its Charging Planner, an intelligent system designed to make long-distance journeys seamless for EV drivers.
Integrated into the My Porsche app and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) of all-electric models, the planner maps optimal routes, minimizes charging stops, and ensures stress-free travel with a pre-set energy reserve at the destination.

Thomas Grünter, Porsche’s Charging Project Manager, calls the Charging Planner “our assistance system for fast travel,” addressing concerns about long road trips with electric vehicles.
The system tailors charging plans to the driver’s profile, considering preferences like climate control usage or audio system activity to accurately estimate energy needs.
Key features include real-time traffic integration, automatic station selection, and battery preconditioning for peak charging performance—up to 320 kW for the Taycan. Drivers can filter fast-charging locations based on capacity or providers, prioritizing Porsche Charging Service (PCS) stations for added convenience.
With Plug and Charge technology enabling automatic activation and payment, along with live updates on battery status and travel times, the Porsche Charging Planner ensures effortless travel for any distance in your electric sports car.
