Opel has been awarded the prestigious SMARTBEST 2025 award by the AUTOBEST jury for its integration of ChatGPT, recognizing the brand’s innovative approach to in-car connectivity.

This advanced AI-powered system is now available across a wide range of Opel passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), enhancing the driving experience with intelligent, personalized assistance.

Activated by a simple “Hey Opel,” ChatGPT allows users to access a vast array of topics, from navigation and route suggestions to entertainment and everyday inquiries. By learning driver habits through linked profiles, the system can independently propose destinations and optimized routes.

Models featuring ChatGPT include the Opel Mokka, Grandland, Corsa, Astra, Astra Sports Tourer, Combo, and Zafira, along with commercial vehicles such as the Combo and Vivaro. The integration leverages SoundHound Chat AI and generative AI technology to deliver cutting-edge functionality in every Opel vehicle.

This award highlights Opel’s commitment to making advanced technology affordable, blending innovation with practicality to redefine modern driving.
