The Vauxhall Movano HYDROGEN has been honored with the prestigious Editor’s Choice Award at the 2025 What Van? Awards, recognizing its innovative hydrogen fuel cell technology and practical appeal for businesses.
Offering a zero-emission solution, the Movano HYDROGEN boasts a range of up to 311 miles (WLTP) and refuels in just five minutes, making it ideal for long-distance operators.
Equipped with a 110kW (150hp) motor and 410Nm of torque, the van features a compact 11kWh lithium-ion battery that stores braking energy to improve efficiency. The hydrogen-powered system ensures high payload capacity without compromising on sustainability.
James Dallas, Editor of What Van?, commended Vauxhall’s approach: “Adapting hydrogen technology for large vans is a game-changer for long-distance operators. The Movano HYDROGEN is a standout innovation in the commercial vehicle market.”
James Taylor, Managing Director of Vauxhall, added: “This award underscores our dedication to supporting businesses with practical, zero-emission mobility solutions. The Movano HYDROGEN perfectly complements our electric van line-up, offering exceptional range and fast refuelling for customers needing dependable, sustainable options.”
Building on 20 years of hydrogen vehicle expertise, Vauxhall’s Movano HYDROGEN joins the brand’s successful electric van range, including the Combo Electric, Vivaro Electric, and Movano Electric. The vehicle follows trials of the Vivaro HYDROGEN in the UK, marking Vauxhall’s ongoing leadership in commercial vehicle electrification.
Orders for the Movano HYDROGEN will open in early 2025, cementing Vauxhall’s status as the UK’s best-selling electric van manufacturer for the past three years.
