Audi is making a bold statement at Auto Guangzhou 2024, unveiling three exclusive premieres for the Chinese market that underscore its commitment to innovation and localized development.
The highlights include the Audi Q6L e-tron, the new Audi A5L, and the AUDI E concept, showcasing Audi’s two-partner strategy with FAW and SAIC to create vehicles tailored specifically for China.
At the FAW stand, the Audi Q6L e-tron takes center stage. This fully electric SUV, based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), is the first Audi vehicle produced locally under the Audi FAW NEV Company.

Featuring a longer wheelbase, market-specific design elements, and a digitally enhanced interior, the Q6L e-tron reflects the preferences of Chinese customers. It will be manufactured at a state-of-the-art facility in Changchun, with production starting in late December.
Also debuting is the Audi A5L, a successor to the popular A4L, built on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC). The A5L offers a roomier interior with an extended wheelbase and distinct design touches like illuminated rings, ensuring both comfort and style.
At the SAIC stand, the spotlight is on the AUDI E concept, a near-production Sportback signaling Audi and SAIC’s intensified collaboration. Measuring 4.87 meters in length and equipped with dual electric motors generating 570 kW, the concept combines Audi’s engineering excellence with SAIC’s digital expertise.
The AUDI E concept previews three upcoming models set to launch in 2025, targeting tech-savvy, premium customers. Brand ambassador Zheng Qinwen, Olympic gold medalist in tennis, lends star power to the brand’s ambitious EV push.
China remains Audi’s largest single market and a critical region for the company’s transformation toward electrification and digitization. Audi CEO Gernot Döllner highlighted the strategic importance of the Chinese market as part of the company’s “Audi Agenda,” emphasizing the need to lead in the premium segment through expanded partnerships and model initiatives.
With a robust lineup and an unwavering focus on the Chinese market, Audi and its partners FAW and SAIC are setting a strong course for the future. The premieres at Auto Guangzhou 2024 are clear evidence of Audi’s mission to deliver “Vorsprung durch Technik” — in China, for China.
